M1 Carbine Front Sight Removal

Anyone in the Bay Area have or know someone who has a M1 Carbine front sight removal tool that I can borrow / purchase for a one time use?

Or a simple solution to get the front sight post off without messing up my rifle.

Fulton armory sells a tool. I ended up taking mine into a smith for $40.

After driving out the retaining pin you can sometimes just tap them off with a plastic hammer.

If not, then having a front sight removal tool will certainly be alot less painfull.

There is also an installation tool.

I have both the removal and install tools.. if the OP PM's me maybe we can work out a meeting and I can do the work for him... I'm in San Leandro
