    Training Announcement

Armorer Certification - SIG SAUER Pistols

    Date: August 21-22, 2010

Location: TWIN CITIES ROD & GUN CLUB

    Host Contact: Kelvin Williams 916-225-8984

    Email: tactical_advantage_inc@yahoo.com

    Duration: 2 days / 16 hours Tuition: $300.00 Course No.: 10-AC-FC

    Course Description:
The program content focuses on the mechanical functioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and field repair of the SIG SAUER law enforcement classic pistol line, to include the P220, P226, P229, and P239 pistols.

This is a hand’s on program that teaches and guides each participant through all armorer operations, step by step with the instructor. Active participation in disassembly and assembly procedures coupled with question and answer periods provide the type of learning environment favorable for the retention of the material. Written and practical exams are administered to test the working knowledge of each participant.

The curriculum enables law enforcement armorers to develop a pistol maintenance program on the inspection and servicing of the SIG SAUER law enforcement pistols for their departments. Following successful program completion, certification / re-certification to perform these procedures is valid for a period of three (3) years. This is of major importance to the agency as it maintains current practices and procedures for factory authorized maintenance on law enforcement pistols within the department.

    Armorer Course Content:
    • Firearms Safety
    • Design and Components
    • Field Stripping
    • Preventive Maintenance
    • Weapon Functions
    • Armorer Disassembly and Assembly
    • Troubleshooting
    • Sight Adjustments
    • 20% discount on purchases at SIG SAUER Pro Shop made during the course.
    • 20% discount on your next course if you register during the course. (Specialty/Guest Instructor training courses excluded).

If they had this in So Cal, I would be all over it.

+1 if in San Diego. Most of the time the Sig Armorer's Courses are restricted to LEO only (because the hosting entity is usually a Police Department or other such LE entity), so this is a rare opportunity for the average Joe. I envy people near Yuba City this weekend!

                EXACTLY!

Apparently not everybody knows this fact.

Found myself thinking about this course all weekend. Hope the class was everything I imagine it was, and that all attendees had a great time!

It was an incredible learning experience! The instructor was Mike Hall. This guy has more credentials than you could ever believe! Military, law enforcement, rep for several major manufactures, and a hell of a nice guy. His teaching style was such that the info really sunk in. If the opportunity comes up again, don't hesitate.
Kudos to Kelvin and the Twin Citys Gun Club for putting this together.
                    Thanks again, Rich
