I've seen lot's of youtube stuff. But want to hear from ya'll.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you are talking about "cold blue" creams or liquids, the results are so-so. There's recipes for do it yourself that have good results. The key is prep work and degrease. Blindhogg custome gunworks has an effective and simple recipe that works very well creating a good blue/black finish.

Are you talking about hot bluing or cold bluing????

The hot bluing involves/requires the use of some hazardous substances and high temp (boiling point) applied to your gun/parts and solutions, I strongly recommend you to research about this process before you attempt to do it.

The proper hot bluing involves the use of "As" (remember chemistry 101???).

The cold bluing is more gentle and is based on the application of selenium dioxide compounds, I've tried many (perhaps all of the products out there) and the best results so far are the ones using the "Shooter-Solutions formulas".

Give them a call, you'll be surprised about the final results.
