Just built my A2 lower and.....

the buffer spring shakes around quite alot and is pretty audible.
also the pin retaining the buffer and spring is scratching my spring and buffer when I remove them.....
and Ideas as to what I did wrong???
again this is an A2 stock with stag everything.

Remove the buffer and spring by unscrewing the receiver extension, don't slide them out through the front. Yeah, the springs are just noisy.

maybe remove any sharp edges on the detent? Never noticed mine scratching the buffer.

Is this your first AR?

If so, here are some things to know about AR's:
The buffer springs do make noise, but you get used to it and will eventually be able to telll when you are empty from the different tone.
The upper and lower recievers may indeed wiggle, but that does not matter because both the sights are on the upper.
The bolt carrier should be locked back when you insert a loaded magazine.
The bolt catch won't engage automatically without an empty magazine in the rifle.
The safety selector is not supposed to be able to be put on safe unless the hammer is cocked.
Steel cased ammo may not extract well because the steel case does not behave the same as a brass case.
An oily bolt carrier is better than a dry bolt carrier.

and no its my 2nd (both A2 lowers) and the spring just dosent rattel around at all and its the same stock, buffer and all.
