    XD45 Tactical Trigger Work.

just recently bought the XD45 and am quite rather happy with it. However im not a big fan of the "heavy" trigger and would like to remedy that with a little DIY job but am at a loss because I have no idea on how to go about doing so. Anyone here have any experience with shaving/ bending/ what have you to the trigger assembly on an XD 45 or any sites you recommend that would give detailed help. Thanks to all for your time in reading this and more to anyone that replies

Call Scott @ Springer Precision and order one of his trigger kits. You won't be sorry.

Thanks for the info Kmca, I checked their site and realistically, I will go with that cuz its fast, easy, and I would rather insult my DIY mindset for the sake of my guns life longevity and warranty. Thanks again, have a good one.

You're welcome. You're going to like the crisp trigger, but you're going to LOVE the reset

Sorry I'm late to this thread, but I wanted to give a big +1 to the Springer Precision kit, and a warning. Make sure you don't set the overtravel to short.

When I installed mine, I only filed down the stop-flange enough for the sear to trip. But it was causing the striker to glance the striker-safety-block a little, and rounded the edge a bit, with occasional light strikes. After a couple of emails to/from Scott, that was cleared up. Even with an extra power striker spring, the trigger is MUCH better.

The best part of the whole experience was Scott's support. I had the laptop on my workbench with my disassembled pistol. I'd fire off an email, wait 1 minute, get a reply, do what he said, repeat a couple of times, and done.
