    80% Markings

Is marking your finished 80% receiver with your driver's license number a bad idea, and if so why?

    Thanks for your opinions

OK, what if I never sell it, and the only way they would have my DL number is if they stole it. Might help me get it back. People put there SS and DL numbers on stereo equipment, tools and such in case of theft- why not firearms?

        Good point though.

          Hi Oldyeller

What I have done is to put my DL on a lower, however spell it out backwards. Most people will not recognize it as a DL.

          Food for thought...

It would be cool to get a scan of your finger print, enlarge it, and mark it on your receiver...

I'm not sure it would really help you ever get it back if stolen... But it would look really cool.
