AK Barrels.

So far I'm batting zero with my Parts kits. I've got a numbers matching M70 Milled kit I was planning on rewelding with a sewer pipe for a barrel, and a froze up gasblock/ grenade launcher sight, and an egyptian kit with no barrel. Where can I get barrels for these? And is there somewhere/someone that can populate/headspace the barrels before I try and build them? Any help will be appreciated.

Forgot to ask what could be causing the gas block to be frozen up?

Barrels can be found at Copes, Centerfire Systems, APEX gun parts, and CO Gun Sales. I have a smith in mind for headspacing, but won't name him until I get his OK.

The same thing that turned the barrel into a sewer pipe, corrosion and lack of proper maintaince. The barrel needs to be installed to be headspaced, the Maddi kit sounds like a better shot at building a working firearm. IIRC the Romy/ WASR barrels should fit that trunion 23mm.

Whatever barrel you get make sure you measure all of the parts to be installed with your barrel. I just finished a virgin barrel kit from hell. No matching parts and basiclly a 7.62 blank with the chamber drilled. NIGHTMARE
