trouble installing SSS trigger in savage

Well so far I have hacksawed my trigger bracket, bolt catch and bolt catch mechanism that allows the bolt catch to be released from under the trigger guard. I am tired of sawing away on my rifle. I still cannot install my trigger guard with the mechanism attached that pulls the bolt stop back. Anyone else have a problem installing this trigger on a savage? I have the savage 10 FCP-K .308 with accustock and formally accutrigger

trying to decide whether to drill a hole in my stock to access the bolt release another way or modifying my trigger guard to stick a small allen wrench up in to release the bolt. Those are the only options I can think of besides taking the bolt catch out all together

I thought savages are supposed to be easy to work on.
I think you are using some incompatible parts or something.

The SSS trigger has small tabs on it where they sit against the receiver bottom that you file to make the custom fit to your receiver. It's all in the directions.

I've fitted three of them (and my gunsmith has sent two kids to college on the projects that I have started that he has had to fix for me) and the only other thing that I've had to do is open up the the trigger guard a bit on the right side because the SSS trigger is a little wider. I've never had to modify anything on my actions.

I sent them an email and have read all of the directions front to back( two pages). This problem isnt addressed. Its not bad unless i want to release the bolt without out some kind of tool. I havent looked at filing the trigger mechanism yet but i dont think im gonna go down that road. Probably cut tje side off the trigger guard and just use an allen wrench to release the bolt when i need to clean.
