    Kel Tec Extractor (SU16)

So when cleaning my rifle I pressed the extractor pin out not knowing I had just lost the Spring and Rubber Buffer. So I called them up and asked why is my pin so loose. They sent me a spring and buffer and I asked them how to do it. They told me refer to manual. I did. It basically shows the pin going in on the left side then the spring and buffer going in on the right side, the buffer should be on the very outside.

I still can't figure it out and I don't want to lose these parts again so can anyone tell me how to install it properly? Do I just press them together with some force? These parts are tiny.

yeah just squeeze them together until you can get the pin through the bolt and extractor. Its supposed to be tight. I put my bolt on a table and used my thumb to press down on the extractor while wiggling the pin in with the other hand.

How can you but the pin through the spring? They are 1/4" apart and at opposing angles. This is the same as an AR-15 extractor. If you search, You can find a pictorial to show you how it is done. Or go to KTOG.com The SU-16 forum. They have good assembly instructions.

Where do you live? I could do this for you. The Extractor is almost identical to an AR-15 extractor. In fact, I installed an AR-15 Extractor upgrade kit (basically an o-ring with a new spring an pluger) and it cured my FTE problems.

Omg I got it. Mif Slim that video is good. However, I don't see a spring buffer in your video. Only a spring dropped out. What's up with that?

the buffer spring as in the one the moves the bolt?

Anyways, the extractor buffer spring in the extractor is connected with the extractor spring so it looks like one peice.

Look at part # 210 and #194 on KT web for the part.
