    1911 Extended Slide Release

My wife had me buy a wilson combat extended slide release for her SA 1911-A1. I went to install the release only to realize that the grip interfered. How do I get this part to cooperate with the grip? Anyone have experience with this?

You'll either need to trim the grip or the slide release where they are interfering. This is pretty much standard for installing one of these.

It's pretty much a no drama operation. Mark carefully, trim slowly, check often...

That's the only thing I don't like about the 1911 is I can't reach it with my right hand.
