    Winchester model 1897

I'm looking for a gunsmith to restore an old Winchester model 1897 my old man obtained. Needs parts and TLC to restore it to it's former glory. Any suggestions would be great! I'll post pics soon.

Save yourself a peck of money, buy one in good shape -- $50-60 per hour labour and parts at GP corp add up fast .

Its hard to get one in good shape because there aint many around for sale. If you did find one in decent shape, the price is expensive unless your lucky to find a seller that dont know nothing about them. The Cowboy Action Shooters have sucked up the supply of these old guns and this is the reason there now being made in China. There are a lot of reproduction parts being made for the 1897. Get those pics posted so I can check it out. I own 3 of them myself. All E series takedowns and I just love them..
