Need 44 mag broken case extractor

Was sighting in my Ruger Deerfield 44 mag and had a case separate. I have searched the web trying to find a broken case extractor but no luck. Anyone have one to loan/sell or know of a way to remove the case.

A bronze 50 caliber cleaning brush should do the trick. You would have to remove the barrel from the action. Then you would take the brush and push it into the remainder of the case in the chamber, just deep enough to barely poke through the front of the case. this will bend the bristles back in a way that they will grip the inside of the case, you should then be able to yank the brush out and what remains of the case with it.
No government deprives its citizens of rights without asserting that its actions are "reasonable" and "necessary" for high-sounding reasons such as "public safety."
A right that can be regulated is no right at all, only a temporary privilege dependent upon the good will of the very government
officials that such right is designed to constrain.

If the barrel doesn't come off easily, you could also do this from the muzzle. Just thread the brush onto the rod in the ejection port.
If this doesnt work build a dam at the case mouth and pour some epoxy into the case, taking care not to get it on anything you dont want it to stick to. You'll have to be creative with how you get the epoxy down in there. Make a small paper funnel, straw. etc. The liquid epoxy would work best for this. Take a Q tip and swab a thin film of paste wax on surfaces that you dont want the epoxy too stick to, maybe even patch the bore with wax in case the dam doesnt hold. Even a tiny amount of wax will keep it from bonding. Clean the inside of the case with a swab of acetone, and pour in the epoxy. After it cures, you should be able to tap it out from the muzzle with a dowel.
Sounds like a lot of work, but it really isn't.
Good luck. Post how it turns out.

I tried the bronze brush but did not work. I also tried a paint can opener and hooked the end but it would not budge. the epoxy sounded good but if you know how messy I get i decided to save that for the last option. Went to the hardware store and got some metal wood anchors about the size of the inner casing. I screwed and tapped the anchor into the case and then came from the front and tried to drive the unit out but failed. I did notice I could catch the lip with my long metal rod and ended up driving it out.
What happened was I ended up pushing the broken casing farther down the barrel at first so the end coned inward and allowed me to catch it with my big drift rod.

          Some times lucky will do.

          Thanks for the help
