Does anyone have any experience with the 500 Phantom? Dave Manson has the dwg's for the reamer---pacnor and others have the bbl. blanks, nobody has the brass, and I've never done an AR bbl before!
I've done numerous 700s, Mausers, Wins, ect., but never an AR.
Upon reading posts about Tactical Machining's lowers, I rehashed the idea about semi-scratch building an AR-10 style Phantom. I however have never turned a blank for an AR. What is the ideal gas port location(adjustable tube or block)...what should I be aware of while planning this.
I'd be happy to post progress on the build when funds allow the start of the build. Also, I'll be planning it all out on autocad, so I'll be able to provide some drawings to you guys if you want them.
