    question for duracoat experts

How shiny is the "gloss black" duracoat? Is it close to a blued gun or would I be better off adding duracoats clear gloss?
    Thanks

The overall level of gloss will depend on how much hardener is mixed in. More hardener will result in a glossier finish. I've never used thier gloss colors, but I have had batches of FDE come out with a near gloss finish by adding too much hardener. I would imagine that a dedicated gloss DuraCoat would have a pretty high level of gloss with enough hardener mixed in. If it doesn't come out shiny enough, you could always set it aside and order some gloss clear to spray over it.

The gloss black is very glossy and like stated above don't go light on the hardener and don't over do it either, just a drop or two on the plus side. Do two or three light coats an then a nice wet one. The Gun Blue color from LCW does a decent job of faking salt finishes but looks even deeper with a coat of Clear gloss.
