I lube it with plain old wheel bearing grease. Works great and one $5 jar lasts decades

I use a little Whale Jizz, otherwise known as TW25B which was plentiful in the weapons conex. Brought a couple of tubes back

All of James Yeager's knowledge and experience goes out the window because one of his cameramen took pictures of shooters in a position that pissed off some Calguns members who sit on their high horse and are perfect.

Start here. Scroll down to "What Happened On The Bridge In Iraq?". A number of folks think Mr. Yeager's credibility is in doubt. I don't have any opinion about that either way, I wasn't there.

To get back on topic, I lube my ARs in a manner similar to that shown in the video, except that I don't use grease, I use weapons-grade oil, Hoppe's or similar. I don't use Remoil (Remington's brand name) as it is too thin and doesn't stay on the rails where needed. Likewise, the 3-in-1 oil shown by the OP might not be the best choice. I also lube the bottom surface of the bolt carrier, where the hammer rides. In short, any place on the BCG that shows wear gets lube, anywhere that does not show wear doesn't. Lube in unnecessary places just becomes a place to collect debris.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

That link is not working for me. Does it have anything to do with lubrication? That's what I'm not understanding, does mentioning somebody's name refer to some catastrophic experience of how not to lubricate an AR or did somebody just come into the thread from left field with incomprehensible information.

Mobile 1 Synthetic and some slide glide works perfect.

+1 Attended J. Yeager's class here in Sacramento a couple of years ago.. I'm nobody's fan boy but plain ol' wheel bearing grease is what I use on my go to AR & AK. Works like a charm when other folks' carbines start to malfuncion on the second day of class. The AK's reliability is legendary but the grease makes sure it works 99.999% of the time.

Keep in mind, lube in/on a firearm is good*. ANY lube will work for a while and is better than none.

                              *except in really cold climates.

                              Good reading material http://www.ar15.com/content/swat/keepitrunning.pdf:
