Para P18-9, full size 1911-9mm, with a MATCH Barrel.
Gotton all the bugs out except for Failures to extract (FTE)
Averages 2 FTE per 100 rounds. Does it with each of the 4 magazines. Does it w/ both reloads & Factory ammo. I have about 1000 rounds thru it now. The gun was hardly used when I bought it. (Now I know why...) Has the Para "claw' extractor, I tried a standard Wilson , too w/ the same results.
All of the FTE's are the same. The fired case comes halfway out of the chamber & the new round can't go anywhere. Lock the slide back, drop the mag, tilt the gun, reinsert mag, rack the slide, continue shooting. This is not acceptable for IDPA or personal protection.
Anyone got any ideas? Someone has suggested reaming the chamber, but I want a few more opinions, before surgery is performed.
