Looking for some ideas here. The butt stock is loose but try as I might I cannot get the screw out. It is frozen to the wood, probably from some rust. If I wiggle the butt stock I can see the screw moving in the frame so it is the screw to wood that is stuck. Don't want to use something like Kriol since oil can make the wood soft. Any suggestions?

From what I remember the screw protrudes through the socket the butt stock fits into and is square on the front. This square section fits into a metal doohickey in the fore stock to prevent it from rotating and coming loose. If this is your case you need to remove the fore stock and then tighten the butt stock screw in quarter turn increments. Failure to remove the fore stock before tightening will result in a split fore stock.Comment
