        Another recommendation for Baltic birch. It is the best plywood when you want total rigidity.

          I used their designs as a base for a build a month back using 3/4" oak.

          3" between center of each rifle works well. I had 2 blades back to back with cutouts offset to maximize use of space. The back to back allows for a long blade of 6-10 cutouts without the shorter leg of the L having to take the weight of the rifles since they counterbalance each other.
