I have never bought duracoat what kind of paint is it oil, epoxy, urethane lacquer. I am sure one these would work "lacquer thinner, acetone, MEK, toluene, xylene". Pretty much all reducers are made out of a combinations of those I specialize in industrial coatings and when they say its a special reducer they just mean they are trying to sell you something else.

      Reduce no more than 20%
Only use DuraCoat reducer if you want permanent results. I very rarely reduce (airbrush when using DuraFlex additive) DuraCoat. Be sure your applicator is clean and the hardener is completly mixed in. If your using an airbrush increase the air pressure if your still having feeding problems. I use DuraCoat Reducer for final clean up after removing most of the mess with Lacquer thinner but don't use Lacquer Thinner for reducing.

Look up the msds sheet for it. It will usually say the solvent used. Without seeing it, I would guess xylene.

I would agree with it having xylene but it is real slow evaporating my guess would be 80% MEK and 20% xylene.

Thanks for the input guys the Duracoat I ordered will be here today. So I'm gonna run a few test panels and see what kind of air pressures spray best with my airbrush before I put any on a gun.
