Marlin (Glenfield) Mod 60 won't eject

I picked up an older Marlin Mod 60 that I just took to the range after I did a thorough cleaning and inspection. It cycles to the point of ejection and every time fails to eject. As I am not familiar with this particular firearm's cycle of operations I could not locate a fix. Any suggestions would be great!

Go to egunparts and take a look at the Model 60 diagram.

Check to see whether your ejector lifter spring is working correctly.

With any luck its a cheap easy repair.

    Good luck. Great little .22s.

      won't eject

Here's a link to the owners manual. It will show you how to field strip and inspect. Sounds like a missing, bent, broken, dirty (pick one) ejector.

This is a PDF format and takes a few seconds to download depending on your connection speed.

      good luck

Here's a link to a PDF file that shows the complete tear down of the model 60. I have just recently finished a Glenfield 60 re-build and this was a great tool to have. Parts are available at Midway USA, Brownells, and Numrich, your choice. This is what mine looks like after a good cleanup and a few parts replaced. It's a shooter now, hasn't coughed or sputtered on any type of ammo I've run through it. Just stay away from anything hyper sonic.

          Forgot the link

Here's the link to the PDF.

My daughter and I put together a PowerPoint slide show on how to tear-down and re-assemble the Model 60 Action assembly. OttoMears was kind enough to create a PDF of it and BWGSTOCK was kind enough to reduce the file size. Thank you John and Bryan...
