    Marking my 80% lower

After trying this:http://www.fullnet.com/~tomg/gooteepc.htm to make a mask for electro etching, I decided that I am not that patient. It worked, but wasn't as clean as I wanted.

I decided to just use a punch set, so I built a guide and a block to support the walls of the receiver because I didn't mark it before I milled it.

Long story short-the letters on Harbor Freight punches are not centered... Oh well, it was a fun experiment.

I might buy an engraver but I am also tempted to get a vinyl cutter so I could etch cool designs. Oh, what to do?

not bad. I'm thinking what i want to do with mine right now too. I screwed up one 80% already so i'll test out how to mark it on that one. I'll probably go laser engraving on my new build. I have a vinyl plotter but have no idea how you would etch on it =P

You'd use the vinyl plotter to cut out resist tape and then electro etch: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...highlight=etch

For small font, use a new blade, and run the cutting feed on the slowest setting.
