Try refinishing a few large pieces of furniture, then a stock will seem like cake.

i just finished my furniture on my 74. new to woodworking , but patience def. pays! its sooooo shiny. I think I have to re-do my receiver cuz its just not up to par.

I just used rub on poly urethane for my finish.
I bleached one set to be blonde, other I left natural.
I may pick up another set to experiment with RIT dye

Well I saw my gun a few days ago when I started my ten day wait and the wood and metal finish is pretty rough. But I'm liking the rough edges, gives the gun some peronality!

I still want to refinish it but I don't want it to be shiney or new looking. I'll post some pics in 10 days when I pick it up.

Refinish it, put in a drum with 30" of chain and roll it down a hill! Then start over
