    colt sear block

    is there an easy way to remove this,besides having it milled out?

      yes its a preban feature colt added so folks couldnt put a drop in auto sear and make the rifle full-auto.

          If you use "Non Colt" BCG they may scrape the top of this block. As you know Colt is rather unique and shaves the BC rather liberally. These blocks run well with Colt BC only (in most cases).

          After market triggers face clearance issue.

          thats a couple of the reasons and also if you wanted to use a m16 bolt carrier it wont make the clearance with the block there.

            I would keep it the way it is. Use the money you'd spend to mill it out & buy a new lower. Then you can run a fa bcg.
