So what'd I do wrong??

I received a set of SRT (short reset trigger) parts for my P220 and installed them today. However, the decocker does not function the way it did before I messed with it. Previously, the decocker would decock once depressed; now, the decocker has to be fully depressed then released before the gun is decocked. The double-action mode is also malfunctioning.

1. Manually set single-action by pulling back on the hammer
2. Pull the trigger so the hammer is down
3. Pull the trigger again and the trigger sinks back but double-action is not engaged (hammer doesn't move)

So what'd I do wrong?

I did find that if I pull back on the hammer a millimeter, double-action works. How to fix this is the question.

I just installed my SRT kit on my W. German 220 and I don't know if it's exactly the same because of width tolerances, but any way, let me share.

When you say that it doesn't decock...

That's how my gun currently works. Same with my P6 and same with my 226. My 226 has the normal sear and safety lever...I haven't yet installed one of my 226.

I have depress the decock lever all the way down until it clicks and upon release, the hammer comes moves from a single action position into the double action position.

Fixed it! Hammer return spring was mispositioned.

Can you take off your slide and take a picture of the spring area? I have a hunch as to what it is. I don't think you set the spring back in place correctly.
