    Taurus 605 trigger spring help

So I bought the shooters pack from Wolff Springs which comes with a 9lb hammer spring and a 9lb & 6.5lb trigger spring. I've replaced the hammer spring and it makes the double action pull much more manageable, especially for my wife. However, when I replace the factory 14lb trigger spring with the 9lb or 6.5lb springs, the action locks up. It appears the lower pressure trigger springs are binding up, not allowing the trigger to move back far enough. Anyone else run into this problem? If so, how'd you fix it?

sounds like it is too soft to everything back
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you,
Jesus Christ and the American Soldier.
One died for your soul; the other for your freedom.

I had the same problem with a 41 Mag titanium model, basically the spring becomes fully compressed about 90% through the pull, right? I think I borrowed & clipped a Smith 12 lb trigger return spring - or may have clipped the Taurus original a bit. Can't quite recall but it wasn't exactly a hi tech fix. Unlike the Smith all the spring does on the Taurus is bounce back the trigger.

Yeah, that's exactly it. I was thinking of cutting a couple of coils off the 9lb spring and stretching it out.

I sent an email to the "tech department" at Wolff Springs, so we'll see what they say.
