    Permanently Attaching Flash Hider.

So awhile back I bought an RRA upper with the 14.5 barrel and some sort of 1.5" long flash hider..I understand the permanently attached concept. There is no apparent pinning nor welding and thus far Ive been unssuccessful in getting it off.. However just to have absolute visual evidence that no LEO could argue with i wanna do a small little tackweld on the underneath of the barrel just so I could flip it over and say "look! Its welded right there! " any suggestions?? Thanks!

I'd look harder for the weld, it may be harder to see. they are most likely blind-pinned and welded, and had the weld turned down. It can almost disappear if done right.

Here are a couple examples of AR15barrels work,

RRA sold barrels with a FAKE flash suppressor that was pressed on to a 16" barrel.
It looks like this when you remove the fake flash suppressor:

Well thats kinda goofy..Why would they do that? Trying to appeal to the "tacti-cool" crowd? I took mine out and sure enough, directly at 180 degrees (underside) with a flashlight you could see the very slight misocloration of the bluing, also when I looked at it from the rear side of the flash hider I could just barely make out a "lip" and such of the metals where they had indeed pinned and welded it..Kudos again to ya folks..I was fixn' to get the tig out on make ugly my favorite RRA upper
