    AK underfolder parts...

Underfolder stocks and trunions from Poland, Romania, Bulgaria etc. look pretty much the same as far as I can tell from pictures. I want to know if anybody has used the underfolder NDS-1P receiver on anything other than the Polish underfolder kits.

I built the Romy ( a 1969 ) on an old Eubanks 100% receiver I had from before the Nodaks were available. I had to weld up the factory rivit holes as bore the hole for the underfolder pivot. I ended up plug welding the rear trunion in for some stupid reason but since this is one of my many unfinished projects I plan on redoing the back with rivits before I refinish it. This rifle is non semi-auto, has a plugged gas port, folding stock, and it about 29 inches with the brake on it. here's a pic.

If you ever bring this rifle to CA you could lock the folding stock in the open position. We have a state requirement of over 30 inches length with the stock folded.

He doesn't need to. He's built this AK so it no longer operates as a semi-auto, so PC12276.1 no longer applies, and now only needs to adhere to the Federal 26" OAL.

LOL. I had to re-read the OP when he mentioned it was only 29" folded.

He could have it converted back to a semi-auto again, if he puts on a mag-lock and fits it with a 5.25" flash hider like this one: http://ak47brakes.ricksmuzzlebrakesa....com/index.htm

1P fits great on polish, OK on hungarian, romy you're better off cutting all the holes on an nds1. I do like the romy stocks the best though.

NoDak sold a receiver just for the Romy underfolder at one time. AK Builder still has a few flats left.

                    Romanian MD63/M65 Underfolder Flat – With Y & I Embossing (B2-21Y). 1mm receiver thickness. Made in the USA. T

I agree, the Romy underfolder is nice with the machined bar stock. And I like how the stock has a slight drop like the milled receiver when open.
