    1919A4 Spade grip problems...

New to the 1919 here. Installed a spade grip I picked up from Ohio Ordanace. It does not even come in contact with the trigger.. Everthing worked fine with the normal pistol grip on it. Gun built by A.A. I'll have pics tonight. This thing is driving me nuts... Anyone with experience on these have any input? Thanks.

just recieved this from Ohio Ordnance's lead armorer.

He will need to bend the finger loop on the rear of his trigger down to allow the proper contact with the delrin bushing in the spade grips. This is common with some of the triggers that are out on the market but most triggers work without any mods. The trigger is not very hard and should bend easily for him.

Yea some trigger profiles are different than others (the bend is slightly different) so you can adjust it by bending it slightly (without breaking it) or can use electrical tape wound around it to take up the slack. Try bending it a little first but be careful you dont break it.

Make sure as you bend it that the trigger will still reset as well as fire. Some times it can take a little playing with it to get it right.

It dosent seem as if there is enough clearance for the travel of the trigger. It goes at least a 1/2" before it will fire when the pistol grip is on. I'll try bending it and hopefully it dosent break or I'll prolly throw it out the window.

i had a cheap set of spades a few years ago and had to use a piece of fuel line over the pin to take up the slack
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.

                        I like this idea better.

Bending the trigger is a big PITA.
