    Ak 74 side rails

    Hi all,
I am thinking of getting a ak 74 parts kit with a new US made barrel already installed,
I have been researching on how to put it together and I have decided that for the first time I am going to do a screw build, I could always rivet it later.
My main question is because I plan to start with a flat and bend it myself, do I have to weld the rails in place or can I screw them in? I have searched around and have yet to come up with an answer.
My other question for is is where do you find a 10 round 5.45x39 magazine? I have searched for at least an hour and have come up with one source(century) yet they require a 75$ minimum order.

Perhaps there will be a build party some where in the central coast or near Roseville(Sacramento)?

    Thanks for your time

Best bet for a mag is to buy one from Solar Tactical and use his 10 round blocks. You can screw the rails in it will look like ***. If you can't get them spot welded. You can plug weld them with a mig or tig.
