    AK FIRE CONTROL GROUP INSTALL

I was wondering if you needed new pins for the tapco group if you are going with a romy g kit. I bent a flat using ak builder flat and the holes are too small for original pin on the right side. Its meant to be drilled a little bigger, along with the center support and the hammer hole right? Just making sure because I need to place an order right away. Also, the old spring to retain the hammer and fire group pin can be used right? thanks

I do not believe you need new pins. I just put mine last night. Insert the original pin to the tapco trigger hole. If it fits nicely, then just drill the right side of the receiver accordingly.
    Yes, use the old spring.
Go to Orchard hardware to buy fire group pin lock.

You need to ream the holes with a reamer so they are the right size. Not sure if you did this step. 5 and 7mm .All the stocks pins and springs can be used.

You will need the disconnector spring from the old FCG.

The holes were made deliberatly smaller to account for stretching during bending of the flat. Thats the great thing about AK builder flats. Have fun with the build!
