    AK sling installation

I finished a romy build (in Russian red with black duracoat and it came with leather sling and I cannot figure out how to get this thing on easily... yeah sounds stupid. The sling has a clip at one end (maybe this comes off - very tough without marring) and a buckle and leather loop at the other. Is there some super secret method? or do I force that clip off which then allow the clip end to thread onto the buckle and loop? Any tips... hmm do I really want that sling on there in the first place. Thanks guys

      thanks Kevin

Yeah I got as far as the point where the clip is supposed to thread through the buckle... no go, without bending/ breaking something. I might just have a "second". I'll give it go using a little vice I have (no, not beer). Thanks

        got it together

Kneeling on one portion of the strap allowed me to get enough power to pull the clip and D ring through. The D ring does have to be at slight angle to the buckle, a little wiggle and about 50lbs of force did the trick... still scuffed/ slightly tore the leather at the buckle...., I know "its just an AK"!
        Next project...
