I believe it contains teflon. Not necessarily something you want to be cleaning the barrel with. It has been said that prolonged use will leave a residue in the barrel which can adversely affect your shooting. It works great to clean the rest of the gun.

I pretty much use it on everything except my barrel.

Personally I think Rem sucks. Its okay if you are just cleaning up to sell. Because its cheap. Sometimes it depends what you are going to work on. Break Free is good and so is Tetra Gun. So is clensoil and some good old LSA. Also what about lube? Again, its what you are going to work on. Something old or something new. Something military or something sporterized.Hmm...what to choose.

Worked the first time and still does every-time, on anything I use it on.

There are other products out there, maybe as good. But I dont want to spend time trying to replace something that is working fine.
This. It works fine for me. Heck, I even use it for lubing stuff around the house or in my car. Good general-purpose gunk IMO.
