Wow! Impressive, maybe you should have done one for AR10 as the Jig I understand is not available yet. I would love to do 80% for AR10.

Looks good. Don't forget to make the Jig for drilling the buffer tube hole.
There was an other thread here about this hole. People on here gave me crap about clatter when drilling. There's NO clatter if you have the jig.
Good luck looks great. Post pictures when your done.

FYI Tactical Machine is selling a 80% lower with the buffer tube drilled and threaded. I would also like to see pics when project is complete. Thinking about a pistol build.

i have the stuff to mill out one also, but i purchased one from cncguns and i'm glad i did. for 100.00 it wasn't worth it to me to make one myself.

what kills me about building the 80% lower is that damn buffer tube drill bit and tap. Those mo fo's is like 140 bucks together, let alone the jig. I would deff be interested as soon as I get over that little aspect, do you have plans for the DIY jig?

Of course I know its best to have a mill for this, but is it possible to build one of these with a drill press, dremel, files, measuring instruments etc. combined with a phenominal amount of patience.

many of the current 80%'ers have the buffer tube hole finished, so no bit and tap needed. But instead, you get to mill out the fire-control pocket.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Here is what I have done so far. The 80% I got has the buffer tube threaded.

I am now looking for someone to do the engraving and serial number.
