Ak Barrel Press Jig

Has anyone purchased the Ak barrel press jig sold at Gunthings?

If so what was your impression of it?

Looks Ok, but looks a little tippy to me . I've got a better set up & I'll try to post a pic. I also have a better AK Trigger guard riveting jig. I'd let both go for $100.

Make your own tool with a piece of scrap and a couple of button head screws. With the screws you can adjust for differences in the trunnion to get the barrel going strait. Just my opinion.

i use 1/4" black all thread and a couple of brass washers. has never failed me and only cost 7.00

I welded up my own with some scrap metal I had.

Here is a photo of one I made. It's adjustable due to variances in different trunnions. Made from scrap steel. It has three legs so it has much better support.

Here are a couple I built, After cutting the 2 extra legs off of the 1st one, I figured why bother on the 2nd as it is stronger with them left in place.
