    Take Down Pins on AR

So I've done a few OLL builds, after the first one the rest got easier. However having not built any for a while, I decided to build up a lower (RRA) to mate to a upper (Stag). The take down pins are tough to snap into place once the upper is mated to the lower, the pins themselves snap into place just fine w/o the upper installed.

My thoughts are build up from the finish of the upper which are causing the binding, any ideas folks, appreciate the help? I've tried a bit of oil, do I just have to let it soak into the parts a bit more to reduce the binding?

    Thanks in advance,

    Frank

it can also be that the holes between the upper and lower are not entirely in the same position

Try working them back and worth without the upper on it and also play with the safety until you can work it very quickly and smoothly.

Sounds like you just have a tight fit between the upper and lower which is perfectly normal. The more you shoot the more it will loosen it up.

I've had one build that required the use of a very fine, round file due to a slight misalignment of the holes for the rear pin.

My upper and lower also have a very tight fit. Its impossible for me to take the halves apart by hand. The upper is a Noveske, which is fairly new, and my lower is a high standard which has seen about 1k rounds. No sign of it loosening after shooting either. I dont want to gind anything, so I'm just going to get a new lower. GL with your build.
