    Help!

    Guys,

I'm trying to install the #5 adapter along with a Harris bipod on my Bushmaster M4A3. Supposedly, the #5 adapter for a Harris bipod should fit right in, but I'm finding the studs on which the aluminum (in the handguards) sits prevent me from getting flush with the adapter, and if I can't get flush against the aluminum in the handguard, the stud on which the bipod attaches does not stick far enough down. Should I grind down the studs on which the aluminum sits in the handguard so my adapter will be flush?

I realize I doubt any of what I've typed makes any sense, but I'm hoping some of you guys are so familiar with ARs that you know what I'm talking about.
