Are they the same I need to order a pair of flats and akbuilder is out of stock. So Tapco says their flat is for both is this true? Who makes good flats I only know of two companys akbuilder and tapco?

they are for both but its not a true ak74 flat. the magwell is made for 47's but the bottom rail tabs can be shaved down just enough so that the mag from th 74 will fit snug.(as I understand it)

hit up duraglock and see if he has anymore from the last build party. his were from ak builder. btw if you dont mind the ones from tapco get those cuz I think the trunnion holes are already drilled where the akbuilder ones are not.

it just comes down to preference i think.

        Stay away from tapco...

You will have more issues with them than if you just waited
and do it right with a AK-Builder flat.

Tapco's usally have trigger hole alignment issues when bent.

        EDIT.
also get them with no holes drilled for the trunnions.
        Fitting issues happen

Never had a problem with the "improved" later manufactured Tapco flats except for the trunnion holes being off a little, which can't be helped due to the fact the trunnions are drilled during assembly and can't be all the same.
