    Thompson Gun Smith

I am looking for a LA/OC area gun smith that is familiar with early Auto Ordnance Thompsons. Tommygunner.com is not Ca. friendly and won't even answer my emails and Kahr, even though helpful, doesn't want anything to do with the early AO stuff
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know of any local smiths around here that service these guns. The only guy I've heard of that does work on the old & new Auto Ordinance Thompsons ( as well as the originals ) is Paul Krogh in Colorado. Seems that any serious Thompson owner absolutely swears by this guy as he does top-notch work in repairing and reworking of both the full-auto and semi-auto Tommys to function flawlessly ( so I've read ). I can't find an e-mail or phone number, but you could check out these sites and possibly get the information from there.

Is there a reputable, competent, Thompson gunsmith I can send my semi or full auto Tommy to for work, modifications, or tweaking?

If it's something not too drastic- i.e. you need to rebarrel the gun, I can probably fix it for you. I repaired a W. Hurley AO rifle a few years back. Internally, they're virtually identical to the Kahr guns, or least least the M1 is.

          Which model is yours?
