    M1A Gunsmith in SoCal

Can you guys give me suggestions on a gunsmith in SoCal to Glass/Steel bed my new McMillian M3A stock. I like to support local buisness.
Some people will do skanky things for $25, and not all those people are crack whores.

Yes, that is where you want to take it if you want to get overcharged and talked down to. Trust me the condescension is well worth the extra price. Last I heard he had awesome deals on CA legal lowers with the mags welded in, might wanna check that out.

I would call up Herb Hirota of Triple H Accurizing. He is an older, retired gentleman and he and his son Larry ran a fantastic gunsmithing business for a long time. Larry was sort of a FAL guru, and Herb works primarily on Garands, M14s, and M1 Carbines. Not sure if he's taking any work on these days, but he built up a .308 Garand for me that has been nothing short of sheer awesomeness. He works from his home shop in Azusa/Irwindale.

I was having feeding issues with my M1A.

Brought it to Evans, with 2 boxes of SA ammo and $100.

The sent me home a week later I called and the said it was fixed.

I get there the rifle had never been shot (Oh we cleaned it)

"your rifle just needs a little more grease" "that will be $100."

          I won't be back.

                  u is who?

.... based on your 3 posts w/o introduction, i am assuming you are the current "manager" of this "evan's."
so i wish you the best in your work to better your livelihood, and the livelihood of a sick man. if your friend is a representative of your establishment, please make sure he expresses himself the way you would like to be represented. that post made my head hurt. and as friendly advice, dont stoop to the level of the peanut gallery. again, this is friendly advice only, and itll take you far here.

I suggest Merlyn Rifleworks/Gruning Precision in Riverside. Their work is excellent and the turn around time right now is about 2 weeks. They just did the bedding on my M3A. They also did the work on my 700.
