    bent barrel

Dont ask me how but when my brother brought back my grandpa's old-as-hell, semi-auto shotgun the last inch-and-a-half to two inches of the barrel was bent to the left about 10 degrees. It's not quite noticable from accross the room, but there's no mistaking it when you're holding it. I was wondering if this is something a gunsmith could fix easy, or if we'll have to buy a new barrel (which will be hard considering the thing was made in the 30's i think) thanks

You will probably end up cutting the bend out and adding a threaded choke. What model is it?

honestly don't know off hand. It's at my parents house 4 hours away too but i'm thinking about getting it up here and getting it fixed and hopefully being able to keep it then. Is cutting the only option?

It depends on the shotgun. If you know the make and model you might be able to get replacement parts from Numrich and others.

No, like Frank said, you can replace the barrel. Or, you can leave it like that and tell people it's an early attempt at a "tree gun". You know, a gun for shooting around trees.
