Im thinking about powder coating a old shot gun.but not sure if i should.i think it has been done before.Im wondering if it would hold up or if the heat of the oven might mess it up they cook it at 400 for a half hour.has any body done this yet.i herd of dura coat but my buddy has a powder coating business and will do it for free what do you think is it a bad move or what.

powder coat is tough but thick. if you do powder coat it, don't expect it to work right.

Are there any soldered ribs or barrels or sights? If so you might not want to bake it. Rust blue it.
