Colt Mustang Plus II

It's my understanding that a Colt Plus II frame is the same as the Government .380 model. So I have the following questions:

1) If I purchase a Government .380 slide assembly along with the other necessary parts, can it be swapped out with the Plus II slide??

2) Does the slide assembly come with the sight, firing pin etc.??

It would be nice to be able to convert back and forth. Even though it's only about 1" longer. I prefer the size of the Government, but don't want to spend 700+ for one when I already have a Government frame.

Looking at post 13 and 15 here, AFAIK, yes, it will work, but I have not tried it.
