Help Installing D Spring In Beretta 92F

I just got some D springs I ordered in today... so I take the old F spring out, put the new one in, and now it's stuck and the lanyard loop doesn't want to go back in. It looks like a nut is preventing it from going back in...

I appreciate any help in putting my pistol back together

Been a while since I did that to mine. Your spring is supposed to go around that pin (called a hammer spring guide) that it seems to be wedged against in the pic. The spring goes into the hammer spring cap (what you called the lanyard) and when you put that into the frame of the pistol you need to make sure the hammer spring guide rides throught the center of the spring. Here's a link to a diagram of the parts.. http://www.e-gunparts.com/productsch...odel=1150z92FS

Thanks for the help! I'm going to have to yank the spring out with some needle nose pliers... good thing I ordered two. I can't believe I shoved the spring in there like that without paying attention to proper placement.
