Custom Made Headspace Gauge & Die Set

As my Palma Rifle project moves along, I thought of something last night.

If I have my own chamber reamer, would it add to the ammo accuracy to get custom made headspace gauge and die set?

It's a pretty standard .308 chamber, nothing to out of the ordinary. Where it does get significantly tighter is in the throat area.

    Thoughts??

might as well go here and get it straight from the horse's mouth if you're asking about Palma

You can buy 308 gauges in 0.001" steps from Forester.
They sell them as a 10 gauge set that covers the whole range.
Knowing your headspace dimension to the 0.001" is not going to make the gun any more accurate.

With tight necked and bodied brass, you should be using redding comp dies or perhaps Wilson hand dies like BR shooters.
I size with a Redding Comp die with appropriate bushing and seat with a Wilson hand die on an arbor press.

Get yourself some brand new brass and dedicate it to the new barrel/chamber.
