ST-22 feeding problems. AR 22 conversion upper.

Does anyone thick BDM mags can benefit from having some more lift to the cartridge in the feed lip area?
If you compare the Ciener / GSG-5 / Advantage Arms 22 conversions mags, they tighten up a bit at front of the feed lips.
This seems to take advantage of the rimmed cartridge and helps provide more "lift" to align the cartridge to the bore axis.

I think if they did this, a lot of feeding issues (FTF) can be resolved.

FTE / Extractions issues appear mostly related to extractor spring and extractor shape.

Based on the title of the thread ("ST-22 Feeding Problems. AR 22 Conversion Upper"), I would assume you are having issues with your Spike's Tactical ST-22 Upper.

Most of those uppers tend to run most reliably off of Federal (Champion?) ammunition. Anything else is hit or miss. Have you tried Federal?

      Tried federal, very reliable.
However, I have a boat load of CCI minimags, and would like to make the upper more compatible.
My GSG-5 is more reliable with various ammo.
So is my 10/22 which DOES NOT have a feed ramp.

I have some 2k of 40gr Minimags that will feed in my Spike's upper. Federal is very reliable.

Spike's is aware of it, here's a guide posted by them for tweaks to feed more reliably.
