Okay, So I install the delta ring kit. Tighten the barrel nut to spec. Install the gas tube. Install the handguard cap and then the gas block. Then I found out the midlength handguards won't fit! I am using a standard delta ring and triangular end cap. I also have a circular end cap to use, but neither seem to fit.

Do midlength handguards need a special delta ring and end cap?

The triangle end cap should fit the round handguards (did you buy Cav or RR?)

Got it from the EE. Here are some pics. Its like the diameter of the ridge of the handguard is the same diameter as the barrel nut.

Something is wrong with your order of assembly.
You tighten the barrel nut, then align the wave spring and circlip to clear the gas tube.
Install the gas tube into the gas block with the roll pin.
Slide the handguard cap on to the gas tube.
Slide the gas block on to the barrel and affix it against the shoulder.
Slip the upper handguard into the triangle while pulling rearward on the delta ring.
The rear of the handguard will slip down on to the teeth of the barrel nut.
Then release the delta ring forwards.
Repeat the last two steps for the bottom handguard.
