Question about welding onto a muzzle brake

I'm looking at putting a Hypertap muzzle break on an M1A Scout and was wondering if I buy it, is it possible to have someone precisely weld a front site post on it to make it work accurately with the iron sights? Am I better off with a red dot than welding a front post?

Just looking at option at this point.

First, do you know what threads your M1a barrel has when you take off the muzzle device with the front sight?
They are typically 0.595"x32.

There are no 0.595"x32 options for the hypertap according to this page:

That gives you a front sight AND adapts the barrel to have 5/8-24 threads.
