How long would it take a gunsmith to mount up a base and rings on my Rem 700? a few days? a few weeks?

its been a long time since I mounted my model 70 but I think it just took a couple allen wrenches and some blue loctite.Just a libertarian guy in a Leftist Authoritarian state.

just to update this:
While the Rem700 was drilled and tapped, the holes were too small to accept the mounting bolts that came with the LaRue Tactical mount, so I'm going to have to take it in to Bolsa Gunsmiths down in Westminster.

It isn't the amount of time it takes to do the job, but how long until he starts it. Just like a car repair shop. they dont make money waiting for someone to bring in work. Remington base holes are tapped with 6x48 threads and the Larue mounts come with 8x40 base screws.Frank

Yea, I didn't assume that it was going to take a full 4 weeks worth of work to drill and tap 4 holes... thats just rediculous, and I don't wanna think about what the price would end up being for that.
Thanks Fjold for the info on the base screws, I was going to have to go verify that. Its the same number that Randall thought they would be, so thats probably a really good estimate.
