Anybody know what size the adjustment screws are on a standard Lyman 3/8" dovetail flip up rear sight?

Pull a screw out and measure the diameter over the threads.
Screw sizes will generally measure a few thousandths smaller than the "major" diameter since the threads have a radius at the top but the "major" is a theoretical sharp point diameter.
It could be some standard size though gunmakers don't generally seem to follow the current standards as they have so many 100yr old standard they stick to.Randall Rausch

If your purpose is to replace buggered screws on one of the popular Lyman 16 folding rear sights, it may be easier to just buy the whole sight assembly on ebay if you can find one with unmolested screw heads.
Those tiny screws need a jeweler's screwdriver to properly turn them and far too many got turned with a knife blade or something inappropriate. The problem with finding replacement screws is that you may need to buy 50 or 100 of them, and they may need to be trimmed to length. You are better off just finding a donor sight to harvest the screws from.Comment
