So...I brought home my first AR which is a diamondback db 15 with magpul furniture. I live under the thumb of the state of California so it came with a maglock installed. I got it home, popped in the ***** 10 round pmag that came with it and sent the bolt home. I realized after that there isn't anything installed to break the action to drop the mag...what do I do to get the mag out? Looking at the kingpin and the juggernaut tactical thing going forward.

The FFL was supposed to show you how to load/make hot and unload/clear it; and you were supposed to demonstrate to FFL that you can load/make hot and unload/clear it before firearm was released to you.Constitutionally, officials cannot license or register a fundamental right.

Friends don't let friends MagLok their guns.
Isn't the purpose of an AR to put a lot of rounds down range fast (and accurate)? A featureless gun just dropped its' magazine and put in a fresh one while you're still trying to split the receivers to drop a mag! Worse yet, get caught with more than a 10 round mag and go to jail, even if it is a CA legal 30 rounder.
I see jammed mag locked guns everyday of all makes. My best advice to them, besides changing to featureless, is to put a regular take down pin in and get rid of the cam pin or other proprietary device in the take down pin spot.
Manufacturers that sell in CA do that because it is cheaper than going featureless.I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...
